Hulsing Enterprises, LLC The Four Points by Sheraton Asheville Downtown is seeking a driven Sales & Catering Manager to join our team. Responsibilities
Effectively prepare all Marketing Materials to promote the hotel to both existing and new clients. Achieve/exceed annual sales targets while building and maintaining long lasting customer relationships. Provide pertinent information on expenditures for the market to be included in the S&M budget. Account Management - all accounts must be maintained, updated and active. All account productivity must be entered, tracked and reported weekly. Attend all necessary in house meetings and communicate all appropriate information to the Operations Team. Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations. Ensure that client has met the contacted Rooms and F&B minimum. Be aware of the hotel needs and business demands so that we can maximize incoming revenue, including balancing the mix of business (transient vs. group demand). Generate a set number of prospecting calls, outside sales calls, site visits, and follow-ups each week. Develop relationships with these accounts to continue booking them year after year. Submit required weekly/monthly/quarterly reports to General Manager and Hulsing Hotels. Contribute and work as a “team” member in all facets of the position and management team. Some travel required to major feeder markets, and at times, an out-of-town assignment may be 1–4 days. Local sales calls are required to generate business through the Local Negotiated rate program. Responsible for obtaining and managing Local Negotiated Accounts. Maintain Corporate Negotiated Accounts from the Brand and ensure that we have submitted compelling business cases and participate in RFP season. Any other task deemed necessary by Management. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. 2 years of hotel sales experience or operations experience.
