Strategic Account Executive, Public Sector, SLED
and drive new account acquisition in state and local government construction agencies. This role focuses on selling Procore’s platform of project management tools to public sector clients with an emphasis on new product sales, prospecting, qualifying, solution selling, negotiation, and closing. What You'll Do
Develop and implement strategic territory and account plans to achieve revenue targets in state and local government. Build and maintain strong relationships with key government stakeholders and decision‑makers. Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, regulatory changes, and government construction dynamics. Utilize consultative selling techniques to understand customer needs, propose solutions, and articulate value propositions. Negotiate and close complex deals, source and complete RFPs, and collaborate with Legal and Deal Desk teams for efficient deal structure and execution. Collaborate cross‑functionally with Marketing, Sales Development, Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, Implementation, and partner teams to drive new client acquisition, renewal, and account expansion opportunities. Partner with Systems Integrators, Construction Management Firms, and Consultants to drive territory and account planning, mutual action plans, and growth. Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date sales forecasts, sales documentation, and reporting to track performance and optimize sales strategies. What We're Looking For
BA/BS or equivalent experience. 8+ years of demonstrated successful software sales, preferably B2B or B2G. Experience using a consultative, solution‑based sales methodology. Proven record of quota attainment in strategic field sales. Executive presence and proven ability to communicate with government executive‑level decision makers. Ability and resilience to work in a fast‑paced sales environment. Ability to develop trusted relationships. Proven ability to build and manage pipeline and forecasting. Compensation & Benefits
Base Pay Range $146,985 – $202,104. Plus commission plan for an estimated on‑target earnings of $293,970 – $404,209. Eligible for equity compensation.
