Strategic Account Executive Public Sector (SLED)
Base pay range: $75,000.00/yr - $95,000.00/yr Additional compensation types: Commission Our client is a well-established IT consulting and staffing firm with a strong presence in the U.S. and offshore. Their delivery teams support clients across government, education, financial services, retail, and transportation. Their global delivery model includes a mature offshore development center with CMMI-certified processes. Key Responsibilities Drive business development efforts across NYC and NYS agencies and departments Sell professional services and staffing solutions that solve complex workforce and technology challenges Manage the full sales lifecycle: prospecting, pitching, RFP responses, and contract closure Build relationships with procurement officers, department heads, and key public sector decision-makers Stay informed about local/state procurement trends, contract vehicles, and compliance requirements
Who You Are 5+ years of experience selling IT services, staffing, or consultingnot products Proven success selling into public sector clients, especially within New York City and New York State Strong understanding of government procurement processes and timelines Comfortable managing long sales cycles and influencing multiple stakeholders Self-starter with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
