Weaver seeks a State and Local Tax (SALT) Manager to join the Sales and Use (Indirect) Tax division of our SALT practice. The Sales and Use Tax Manager, in our State and Local Tax practice, will work on multiple complex tax engagements and contribute to the delivery of innovative sales and use tax planning ideas for our diverse clients. Work on complex Indirect tax audits, managed audits, and recovery of tax overpayments (reverse audits). Prepare complex tax research projects for clients in diverse industries by researching and analyzing a wide range of tax issues and implications. Lead projects and a team of sales and use tax professionals. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field CPA, CMI or JD 5+ years of state and local tax experience in a public accounting firm, tax services firm or similar industry Experience with a focus on indirect (sales & use) tax compliance and consulting Preferred qualifications
Master’s degree in Accounting or related field Proven ability to manage, mentor and develop staff Strong relationship management and practice development skills Ability to attract and service new clients and expand services to existing clients Compensation and benefits
At Weaver, our most valuable resource is our people. A reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position is $120,000 to $175,000 in the California and New York Metropolitan areas. Actual compensation will be based on experience, skills, certifications, and geographical location. Weaver offers competitive health benefits (medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance) and a 401(k) plan.
