Team Overview
As a Vice President, Account Manager in our New York office, you will play a central role in driving revenue from existing clients by ensuring their continued success with our products and services. Focused on account growth, renewals, and strategic expansion, you'll align client needs with our offerings to maximize value and deepen engagement.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong commercial mindset, proven relationship management skills, and the ability to drive results across a global client base.
Role Responsibilities
Build, lead, and grow long-term strategic partnerships with C-level stakeholders and senior decision-makers at global financial institutions. Define and execute high-level account strategies that align client objectives with company growth targets, influencing product adoption and service expansion. Act as a senior sponsor and escalation point for key accounts, ensuring alignment between client priorities and internal delivery teams. Oversee and coordinate cross-functional engagement across regions to deliver seamless client experiences and consistent messaging. Lead complex contract negotiations, including renewals and expansions, while maximizing revenue opportunities through upsell and cross-sell efforts. Conduct senior-level business reviews and performance evaluations, advising clients on solution optimization, business performance, and roadmap alignment. Deliver strategic market and client insights to internal teams to guide product development and inform business planning. Maintain comprehensive strategic account plans, including org mapping, risk mitigation, and long-term growth planning. Represent EquiLend at industry events, conferences, and executive forums to maintain visibility and strengthen client engagement. Lead revenue forecasting and contribute to budgeting cycles through detailed planning, pipeline development, and portfolio management. Ensure regulatory compliance across client engagements, with working knowledge of FINRA licensing obligations (SIE, S7, S63, S24), to be attained within 12 months if not already held (company sponsored). Oversee client contract governance, security compliance processes, and procurement engagement across your book of business.
Required Skills
Minimum of 8+ years of relevant commercial experience in client-facing strategic account management roles, with increasing responsibility and revenue ownership. Proven track record of managing and growing high-value client relationships in global financial markets, ideally within securities finance or capital markets. Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influence skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at C-level internally and externally. Strong strategic thinking with an ability to shape account direction, drive growth, and align business and client needs. Advanced negotiation and commercial skills, particularly around renewals, upselling, and multi-product strategy. Strong financial acumen and experience with revenue forecasting, budgeting, and account planning. Familiarity with regulatory environments and security protocols relevant to global financial services. Comfortable navigating complex global organizations and working cross-functionally across multiple time zones and business areas. High degree of resilience, adaptability, and commercial ownership in a fast-paced, client-first environment. Experience working in fintech, technology, or financial solutions firms is highly desirable but not required. Candidates from diverse industry backgrounds with strong account management and client strategy experience are encouraged to apply.

The annual base salary range for this position is $135,000 – $145,000. This position will also carry a revenue targeted variable pay on top of your base salary.
