Responsibilities
Actively lead monthly accounting needs for customers by overseeing engagement teams
Serve as a key point of contact on day-to-day accounting and advisory matters and/or technical/special projects for customers
Conduct and review in-depth financial analysis, assess risk, analyze efficiency, and inform business decisions for customers
Provide tactical accounting and advisory guidance to customers and engagement team members
Perform technical accounting reviews of highly complex advisory deliverables
Prepare ad hoc and monthly recurring reports and analyses for customers
Perform US GAAP conversions, document technical memos (e.g., ASC 606 analysis), and prepare US GAAP financial statements
Utilize technology to communicate and record accounting and advisory matters
Maintain thorough knowledge of customers’ business to ensure understanding of engagement economics and provide regular updates
Ensure overall quality and accuracy of the scope of services for customer portfolios
Develop and manage relationships with customers, internal firm contacts, and AAS Engagement Team leaders
Collaborate with customers to identify advisory opportunities and service-line SME projects
Provide developmental feedback to AAS and other team members; coach and train staff
Implement process improvements to enhance engagement quality, efficiency, and effectiveness
Manage customer invoicing and communicate with shareholders, principals, and senior leadership
Participate in growth opportunities across service lines and referral sources
Engage in customer, recruiting and networking functions within the local market as appropriate
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
CPA certification
5+ years of accounting experience in a fast-paced environment; experience in both public accounting and industry preferred
Healthcare industry experience and knowledge
Ability to produce timely deliverables and manage multiple priorities
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Strong US GAAP knowledge and understanding of financial statements and general ledger accounting
Proven track record of meeting deadlines and performing technical memos
Ability to contribute to business development activities
Strong problem solving and communication skills
Experience supervising and training team members
Ability to work both independently and with a team; willingness to learn and expand service offerings
Excellent time management and willingness to work extra hours to meet deadlines
Strong Excel skills; proficient in spreadsheet design for complex analysis
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with multiple accounting software packages (including Sage Intacct) and QuickBooks
