Prevailance Inc. is seeking an experienced and mission-focused
Joint Interface Control Officer (JICO)
or
Navy Interface Control Officer (ICO)
to support the Strike Group Interoperability Training/Readiness (SGITR) program. This role involves providing advanced mentorship and advisement on Multi-Tactical Data Link (MTDL) and Common Operational Picture (COP) management to Fleet Command Centers, Numbered Fleet JICOs, Carrier Strike Group JICOs, Amphibious Ready Group JICOs, and shipboard ICOs. The SGITR program delivers training on Multi-Tactical Data Link (TDL) architecture planning, operations, network management, COP/CTP integration, and interoperability, ensuring readiness across Carrier Strike Groups (CSG), Amphibious Ready Groups (ARG), and Independent Deployers (ID). Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Develop and recommend TDL architectures and training for Link-16, Link-11, Link-22, and JREAP protocols Create tailored COP/CTP training plans incorporating lessons learned from recent deployments Implement updated TDL configuration guidance and operator TTPs for emerging technologies Review and refine key operational messages (e.g., OPTASK Links, Identification, and Cooperative Engagement Capability) Support CSG/ARG certification events, including embarkation and underway mentoring Conduct Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) certification and sustainment training Provide real-world operational support, including technical and administrative expertise Qualifications: Qualified as
Joint Service JICO ,
Advanced JICC Operators Course (AJOC)
graduate, or
Navy ICO
(E-7 or above) Six (6) years’ experience
in:
MTA planning and operations MTN system support and COP/CTP interoperability TTP development and Distributed Engineering (DEP/JDEP) Strike Group or training staff operations TDL system configuration, GCCS-M, and ICO-related tasks
Current operational experience with key C4I systems, including:
C2P, CDLMS, BFTT, SGS, LMMT, GCCS-M, Link-16, Link-11, JREAP (A/B/C), and satellite communications
Ability to brief senior leaders (e.g., Admirals, Commodores) and deliver technical training at all levels Physically capable of embarking Navy/Marine vessels, aircraft, and small crafts Willingness to travel up to 25%, including CONUS/OCONUS and underway periods (1–3 weeks) Preferred: Three (3) years’ experience
as a JICO / AJOC / ICO with Strike Groups, AOCs, or CAOCs Deployment or assignment on platforms such as DDG, CG, LPD, or CVN Experience with LVC training exercises, BFTT, and training supervision (TRASUP) Background as Force Track Data Coordinator (FTDC) or Maritime Regional Interface Control Officer (MRICO) Education: Completion of required ICO/JICO courses:
