Advanced Practice Provider Hospitalist PRN
Department: 04170 WFBMG University Group Practice: WFBMC Main - Hospitalists Status: Part time Benefits Eligible: No Hours Per Week: 0 Schedule Details/Additional Information: Schedule: PRN; APP will follow early/late protocol at each specific site The PRN APP schedule will be made every three (3) months as a collaboration between APP Manager and Scheduler (QGenda) to help cover open shifts across all sites. All efforts will be made to minimize the number of different services or locations each week. Attention will be given to try and ensure at least two (2) days in a row on a particular rounding service and less than two (2) different locations in a given week. PRN APP schedule will be subject to change for callouts, emergencies, or high census. Any change will be communicated to the PRN APP no later than 6 pm the day prior. Swing shifts: PRN APP is subject to assignment to Swing shift. If scheduled to work a Swing shift, PRN APP will not be scheduled for day shift the following day. Wilkes coverage will receive a $100/shift incentive for coverage. Pay Range: $50.05 - $75.10 Education/Experience: Graduation from accredited Nurse Practitioner Master's Program LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, And/or REGISTRATION: Current applicable state Board of Nursing Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner license Board certified in NP specialty Essential Functions: Using medical decision-making skills to determine appropriate patient care plan. Collaborates with medical team when needed for effective team-based care. Order and interpret laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures. Explains the necessity, preparation, nature and anticipated effects of scheduled diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to the patient. Procedural skills per department or practice guidelines Opportunity to participate in basic science and clinical research projects Potential for and encouraged to precept students and/or medical learners Uphold AHWFB missions, values, and cultural commitment Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
