Responsibilities
Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:
Maintain and respect confidentiality of student and school personnel information; Maintain discipline and classroom control that fosters a safe and positive environment for all students and staff in accordance with school policies; Ensure the adequate supervision to assure health, welfare, and safety of all students; Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities; Report to office upon arrival and departure at school; Review lesson plans, materials, and/or instructions left by absent teacher; Report student injuries, accidents, illnesses, or discipline problems to the school principal immediately or as soon as is reasonably possible; Implement lesson plans, while ensuring the integrity of academic time and in a manner which motivates students to learn and participate; Organize students for effective instruction; Dismiss all students from the classroom before leaving the building; Comply with and support school and division regulations and policies; Model non-discriminatory practices in all activities; and Perform other related duties as assigned by building administrator(s) in accordance with school policies and practices.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Experience teaching or working with school age children; Teaching capabilities in all subject areas; Excellent communication and organizational skills; The ability to maintain effective classroom management strategies The ability to follow oral and written directions; The ability to address the various learning styles of students; The ability to implement strategies, activities and techniques for promoting quality student performance in both academic and social behavior based on student's prior knowledge and experience; The ability to effectively contribute to and manage an individual program plan for students with special needs; The ability to create and maintain a climate of respect and fairness for all students; The ability to demonstrate fair and ethical judgments; The ability to apply appropriate consequences for inappropriate student behavior; The ability to display problem solving, cooperative negotiating skills and conflict resolution strategies; and The ability to use classroom instructional time appropriately and wisely.
Qualifications
Candidate must be at least 18 years of age; Education equivalent to graduation from an accredited high school or General Education Certificate (GED); and Candidate must attend an orientation/training session.

Full Time employment School Year Schedule: August - June / Monday thru Friday Report to the main office by 7:45am Benefits Eligible Position Non Union
