JOB SPECIFICS and responsibilities for the Advanced Practice Provider in Podiatry, including patient examinations, diagnostics, treatment planning, and perioperative support. Responsibilities
Conduct physical examinations, assess patients’ medical histories, and perform relevant diagnostic tests. Evaluate foot and ankle conditions, including injuries, deformities, infections, and chronic diseases. Collaborate with podiatrists to develop treatment plans for patients and rounding. Assist in surgical procedures, wound care, and minor office-based procedures. Administer injections, prescribe medications, and provide patient education. Potential to serve as the first assistant during surgical procedures related to foot and ankle conditions. Assist with casting, splinting, and applying orthotic devices. Monitor post-operative patients and manage wound healing. Benefits & Perks

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree or higher in nursing or physician assistant studies from an accredited program Current Illinois license as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Minimum of two years of experience as an APP in podiatry or a related field is preferred Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
