Execute day-to-day battery cell testing for prismatic lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cells, providing engineering support related to cell material and electrochemical analysis Operate battery laboratory equipment such as high-current battery cell cyclers and environmental chambers to characterize cell performance Troubleshoot and resolve basic issues with LFP battery testing equipment, escalating issues as required Collaborate with engineers/scientists to learn and assist in standardizing laboratory processes Record detailed data from day-to-day process activities in online database, including inventory management Proactively and effectively communicate results and observations with cell engineers and cross-functional colleagues in EH&S and facilities Maintain organized/tidy workspaces and inventory and promote a safe working environment Qualifications
Basic understanding of battery safety and hazards Experience working with battery testing equipment; Maccor and Arbin test software Experience working with high current and high voltage equipment Ability to work safely and precisely handling small electrical components and operating equipment Knowledge of basic laboratory equipment and computer operation History of completing tasks at consistently high standards Excellent communication and documentation skills Experience working in R&D laboratory environments and handling hazardous chemicals and materials preferred Physical Demands
