We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team! This is a day-to-day, on-call position; you will be called as needed to assist at various school sites within the district.
Responsibilities Perform routine janitorial and custodial functions at assigned site(s) or facilities; clean classrooms, restrooms, cafeterias, gymnasiums, offices, and related facilities.
Sweep, mop, strip, scrub, wax, and polish floors; vacuum and shampoo carpets; dust furniture; empty trash; clean walls, windows, and doors; remove graffiti as needed.
Operate cleaning equipment (vacuums, floor machines, scrubbers, etc.) and perform basic maintenance on equipment.
Assist in setting up furniture and facilities for assemblies, athletic events, meetings, and special events.
Plant, cultivate, prune, water, and care for trees, shrubs, hedges, and lawns; perform grounds maintenance tasks.
Use hand and power tools for grounds maintenance; mow, edge, trim, blow, weed, and maintain landscaped areas.
Install, maintain, and repair sprinklers and sprinkler systems; operate and troubleshoot related components.
Maintain cleanliness of grounds and facilities; assist with minor maintenance and custodial tasks as assigned.
May read and interpret basic blueprints and landscaping plans.
Pepare and deliver supplies as assigned; ensure security of assigned areas and follow safety procedures.
Requirements / Qualifications Possession of a valid California Driver’s License.
Knowledge of gardening methods and practices; safe use, maintenance, and operation of tools, power equipment, and sprinkler systems.
Knowledge of safe use and application of pesticides and herbicides for pest/weed control purposes.
Ability to effectively and safely use hand and power tools and to perform minor repair and maintenance work on equipment.
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; read and write at a level sufficient to perform required duties.
Ability to meet physical requirements to perform duties safely and effectively; establish and maintain effective work relationships.
Fingerprint background clearance is required prior to starting work.
Required documents: Driver's License Copy, Resume, TB Screening Result.
