Lead Technician Requirements : Field Experience Required : Telecommunications Background 5-6 Years Cabling Experience (Required) 3-4 Years Fiber Experience (Required) Knowledge of the equipment and tools used in structured cabling Ability to climb ladders and operate Boom & Scissor lifts Able to Read Blueprints Able to interpret floor plans MUST have Truck or SUV to carry Ladders & Materials MUST be able to pass a background check Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Install all cabling standards in ceiling, conduits, and raised floors; route cable within walls and modular furniture Build closets (Mount and install backboards, racks, patch panels, fiber optic build racks, punch down closets, and neatly dress cables) Lead Tech Responsibilities : Work with Project Management to schedule, update, and complete projects Motivate and assign job duties to technicians on-site Train entry-level and current technicians Perform quality control on technicians' work Certify all cabling once installed Must pass background check with no felonies Technician Requirements : Field Experience REQUIRED : Telecommunications Background 2-3 Years Cabling Experience 1-3 Years Fiber Experience Must have basic hand tools (snips, screwdrivers, tape measure, level, etc.) Must have reliable transportation MUST pass background check (No Felonies) Ability to climb ladders Able to Read Blueprints Technician Responsibilities : Work closely with Lead Technicians Install cabling in ceilings, conduits, and raised floors; route cables within walls and modular furniture Build closets (Mount and install backboards, cross connects, racks, patch panels, fiber optic hardware); build racks; punch down closets; neatly dress cables
