Archaeologist/Cultural Resources Specialist
Join National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions) as an Archaeologist/Cultural Resources Specialist. This role supports the State Cultural Resources Specialist by conducting research, field surveys, and site evaluations to identify and document cultural resources within project areas. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of experience in cultural resources work or a BA/BS Degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related field. Knowledge of cultural resources processes, including cultural resources surveys, cultural resource and survey documentation, report writing, and ArcGIS is required. Responsibilities include: Conducting research, field surveys, and site evaluations to identify and document cultural resources within project areas. Working directly with NRCS staff to complete surveys/assessments in Idaho supporting overall agency objectives. Collaborating and supporting surveys/assessments throughout Idaho as needed. Contributing to State, Area, and Cultural Resource Team bi-weekly meetings. Collaborating to improve NRCS Cultural Team processes. Supporting training NRCS team members in cultural resource identification as requested. Requirements: Minimum of 15 years of experience in cultural resources work or BA/BS Degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or related field. Knowledge of cultural resources processes, including cultural resources surveys, cultural resource and survey documentation, report writing, and ArcGIS. Idaho and/or Pacific Northwest United States archaeology experience is preferred. Registered Professional Archaeologist accreditation and/or ability to meet the Secretary of the Interior’s Archaeologist requirements are preferred.
