QUALIFICATIONS:
Performs work specified on the repair order with efficiency and following dealership standards
Tests components and systems using diagnostic tools
Complete services including oil and filter changes, transmission and differential services, tire repair and replacement, wipers, bulbs, and filters
Communicates directly with the Service Advisor for recommendations
Ability to use a computer and learn new software
Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
Executes repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
Must have a valid driver's license.
Must have appropriate tools
Minimum 1-year experience with automotive repair
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Communicate additional service/repair needs to service advisors
Service universal joints, grease fittings, and steering knuckles using hand- or compressed-air powered grease guns
Inspect fluid levels in steering gears, power steering reservoirs, transmissions, differentials, rear axle housings, and shackles
Check tire pressure
Lubricate moving parts with specified lubricants
Drain oil from crankcase and refill with the required amount of oil
Add water to the radiator and battery.
Replace oil and air filters
Inspect all vehicles for additional repairs
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, safety standards, and codes of conduct
Follow dealership safety procedures to avoid fumes, dirt, and harsh chemicals.
Requirements:
Occasional exposure to inclement weather while moving vehicles
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
Must be able to lift 30 pounds
Must be able to drive a stick shift vehicle
Must be able to diagnose customer concerns
Must be able to make repairs quickly and efficiently
Ability to operate an automobile
Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, and bending.
