The successful candidate will join a team supporting design for large and small-scale substation engineering projects. This role offers growth opportunities for a self-driven individual eager to learn and take on new challenges. In the role of Substation Electrical Engineer, responsibilities include: Protection and control design Assigning project tasks and providing technical guidance to junior team members on complex projects Performing quality control reviews of work by junior and mid-level engineers and designers Collaborating with senior engineers to develop technical expertise, attending training and seminars Potentially developing technical papers or presentations for industry conferences Conducting quality control reviews of projects from other teams as needed Working independently and mentoring less experienced engineers and designers Note: US-born citizenship is required due to client contract requirements. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering 5+ years of substation design experience Proficiency with industry-standard design software Proficient in Microsoft Office Strong communication skills Willingness to travel Preference for local candidates Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering PE license Experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector Skills in Microsoft Office and Power Sector design software (e.g., PLS CAD, AutoCAD, Revit) Commitment to our employee-owned culture Our Values and Commitment: HDR values diversity and inclusion, building a culture of trust and collaboration.
