Overview
Our client, a leader in automation and material handling solutions, is seeking a PLC Controls Engineer II to join their team. As a PLC Controls Engineer II, you will be part of the Controls Engineering Department supporting automation projects for high-speed sortation and parcel processing systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate adaptability, strong problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.

Mason, OH
Pay Range:
$45-$50/hr (based on experience)
What’s the Job?
Support commissioning and testing of automated material handling systems, including high-speed sortation, scanning, and merging applications
Assist in PLC programming, HMI development, and system commissioning to ensure optimal performance
Collaborate with internal and external engineering teams to meet project goals and deadlines
Develop and maintain technical documentation such as QA/QC plans and test procedures
Participate in BUAT/UAT/FAT testing phases and provide post-installation support and troubleshooting
What’s Needed?
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
Up to 4 years of experience in controls engineering or material handling projects
Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and Wonderware Aveva Edge (or similar HMI platforms)
Interest or experience in post and parcel operations is a plus
Willingness to travel extensively (~90%) and work in dynamic environments
