About Us: Royal Vista Southwest is a premier equine reproductive center in the heart of Quarter Horse country. Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and team-oriented Equine Reproduction Veterinarian to join our dynamic practice. This position is ideal for someone passionate about mare reproductive management, particularly in the areas of embryo transfer and management of a large herd of recipient mares, while also having a strong interest in donor mare management and the care of neonates and foaling. The successful candidate will work closely with a team of veterinarians and support staff to manage high volumes of reproductive cases during the breeding season, followed by a flexible schedule in the off-season to promote work-life balance. Key Responsibilities: Perform all aspects of reproductive health management of mares Manage donor mares for timed insemination and embryo collection Perform embryo flushes, evaluate and handle embryos Assist with TVA procedures Search for, handle, and manage oocytes after TVA procedures Transfer of fresh and vitrified flushed, and fresh and vitrified icsi embryos Oversee recipient mare herd management, synchronization, and pregnancy diagnosis and maintenance Manage neonates from foaling through weaning Provide general health care and appropriate treatment for all horses on site Provide timely client communication and maintain accurate medical records Participate in shared emergency rotation Qualifications: DVM from an accredited veterinary college and successful completion of the NAVLE Licensure (or ability to obtain licensure) in Oklahoma USDA Accreditation Strong interest in equine reproduction, especially mare-side work Embryo transfer experience strongly preferred Excellent rectal palpation and transrectal ultrasound skills Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to work long or flexible hours during the breeding season Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a team setting Firm understanding and appreciation of efficiency while maintaining quality Benefits: Salary based on experience Licensing fees and professional dues covered Professional Liability Insurance covered Continuing education allowance Professional growth opportunities in advanced reproductive techniques Flexible off-season schedule to support work-life balance Strong mentorship from a team of highly experienced veterinarians Supportive team and positive work culture with a highly efficient facility and workflow How to Apply: Interested applicants should submit a cover letter and CV to drschnell@royalvistasouthwest.com, using the subject line: Equine Reproduction Veterinarian Application – [Your Name].
