Job Title - Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer Locations: Chicago, IL | Baton Rouge, LA | Cedar Rapids, IA | Austin, TX | Denver, CO (Centennial) | Des Moines, IA | Minneapolis, MN | Muscatine, IA | Phoenix, AZ | West Palm Beach, FL Job Type – Hybrid, Onsite Stanley Consultants is seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer to lead and deliver water, wastewater, and groundwater projects in any of our Water offices. Responsibilities
Lead team delivery of drinking water projects including evaluation and detailed design of intake structures, surface and ground water treatment plants, water reuse systems, storage, pumping, and transmission and distribution projects. Prepare master planning reports and documentation required for grants and loans. Act as a self-motivated subject matter expert; participate in local professional organizations, prepare and present market-specific papers and presentations. Articulate and operate within the One Water paradigm. Integrate smart water systems, process automation, and machine learning into water production and distribution design. Use AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation and other applicable engineering design tools. Collaborate with other disciplines (civil, mechanical, electrical, I&C, structural, and CAD) to produce plans and specifications. Assist in marketing opportunities with key clients and responses to RFP/RFQs. Provide marketing, technical leadership, and support during procurement and execution of projects. Develop and maintain long-term client relationships. Assist clients with permitting, property acquisition, and stakeholder involvement. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary design teams and deliver projects on time and within budget. Mentor staff and foster professional growth. Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science (BS) in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering. At least 10 years of relevant experience. Professional Engineer (PE) license; Illinois PE preferred or must be able to obtain within 6 months of hire date. Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and/or Wisconsin water/wastewater network experience. Regional expertise in water supply, treatment, storage, and/or distribution. Active participation in professional organizations. Strong verbal, computer, and organizational skills. Excellent technical writing and client relationship skills. Strong design team leadership skills. Preferred Qualifications
Master of Science (MS) or PhD in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering. Salary: $119,400 - $156,975 per year. (Salary range for CO, IL, and MN locations) Stanley Consultants is committed to maintaining transparency in our hiring process, including providing information about compensation.
