Overview
Proactive Engineering Consultants (PROACTIVE) is seeking an experienced Land Surveyor ready to lead a dynamic team in the field. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Survey Party Chief to oversee survey projects and help shape the future of land development throughout Southern California, with a primary focus on Riverside, Orange, San Bernardino, and Los Angeles Counties. Responsibilities
Lead and manage survey crews in the field, ensuring accurate and timely data collection. Perform boundary, topographic, construction, and utility surveys. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other department staff to ensure project success. Review survey data for accuracy and completeness. Operate survey equipment, including total stations, GPS, and levels. Mentor and train junior survey crew members. Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience in land surveying. Proven ability to lead and manage survey crews. Proficiency in using survey equipment and software (e.g. Trimble Access or similar). Strong knowledge of land surveying principles, legal descriptions, and construction staking. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to work in a variety of outdoor conditions. Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Benefits
