Posted Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at 5:00 AM JOB SUMMARY The Quality Supervisor is responsible for the facility pre-requisite programs including: pre-operational inspection, Pathogen Environmental Monitoring (PEM) and non-PEM, allergen qualification, adverse event monitoring/reporting and pest control. Maintains and performs training on departmental-specific policies, procedures and programs. Ensures 100% legal compliance with all federal, state and local laws and regulations relating to food processes (i.e. SQF). This position reports to the plant Quality Manager and provides Quality department supervision over both 1st and 2nd shift. JOB DUTIES Duties may include, but are not limited to the following: Maintain and perform training on the facility pre-requisite programs including: pre-operational inspection, Pathogen Environmental Monitoring (PEM) and non-PEM, allergen qualification, roof leak monitoring/reporting and pest control. Ensure preparation and compliance of all quality systems and information often utilizes in audits. Participate and at times lead the audits with companies, agencies and auditors for the site team. Execute and lead RCS/CAPAs in accordance with corporate and site policies. Generate-Review-Close Incident Reports as related to FSQA. Coach-Teach-Mentor QA Staff to help build contingency plan bench strength. Aid in management of commercialization projects from a quality perspective to assure specifications are met. Be able to perform Mock Recall / Trace exercises as required. Oversee Document & Record Control programs as they pertain to FSQA. Off-shift training, performance verification, and plant-based meeting participation. Actively participate in the Maker’s Production System activities (Drumbeat, Weekly KPI, Tiered Auditing, etc.). Facilitate the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) audit review process. Maintain and perform training on departmental-specific policies, procedures and programs. Maintain the facility uniform program (supply and distribution). Perform daily follow-up of facility-wide housekeeping needs and requirements. Assist with the weekend Food Safety supervisory coverage as necessary. Assist the Food Safety / Quality Assurance Manager and technicians as necessary. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) at all times. Comply with all safety, health and environmental regulations as prescribed by law. Comply with all Company rules, regulations and policies. Lead GFSI initiatives and serve a backup to Quality Manager for all things Food Safety and Quality. Perform other duties as assigned. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCIES Knowledge of: Maker’s Pride procurement, products, and production processes Knowledge and experience with SAP Skill in: Maintaining harmonious working relations with employees from all departments and management from all levels. Communicate effectively with all employees and management. Ability to: Communicate in English to give and acknowledge instructions and problems. Physical and mental ability to work in excess of 40 hours per week. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in various units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram and schedule form. Proficiency in: MS Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint and Word. SAP, or similar ERP system. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Two-year college degree in business or related field required; Four-year college degree preferred. Three (3) – five (5) years of Food Safety / Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing environment. Minimum 1 (one) year of supervisory experience. Experience with the administration of various training topics for new hires and annual regulatory compliance in groups of (2) two – (25) twenty-five participants; Experience with tracking training events a plus. Proficient in MS Office applications such as Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Excellent communication, decision-making and organizational skills. Strong self-confidence and leadership skills. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Reaching with hands/arms throughout the day. Ability to use hands and fingers. Ability to see, hear and talk. Lift/carry up to 25 lbs. Ability to work in light to moderate noise levels; hearing protection may be required. Able to walk up to 400 yards to work areas. Stand eight hours per day. Occasional reaching over head, under and across throughout the day May climb steps to and from work and break areas. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in close proximity to others. Ability to distinguish colors. Ability to work in variable temperatures and weather conditions. Occasional bending, stooping and twisting throughout the day Sponsorship for work authorization is not available for this position. It is the candidate’s responsibility to ensure they are legally authorized to work in the location to which they apply. The pay range for this full-time, salaried position is $58,962 – 88,444/year. Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. The position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive based on company and individual performance.
