In this role, you will develop, test, and maintain software applications while also providing technical support to end-users. The position offers the opportunity to work with mainframe systems, COBOL and/or SAS, and relational databases, with exposure to financial systems and accounting processes. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong analytical skills, a willingness to learn, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.**Essential Job Functions*** Codes, tests, debugs, implements, and documents basic programs according to the specifications provided* Writes specifications for programs or enhancements to existing programs* Participates in peer reviews* Assists in creating unit and other test plans for assigned programming tasks and evaluating results* Provides technical and production support to end-users* Share with other team members the support of critical systems that might involve working some evenings or holidays.**Basic Qualifications*** Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience* Bachelor’s degree in computer science, finance, mathematics, or related field preferred* One plus years of programming experience* *Experience working with mainframes using COBOL and/or SAS applications** *Experience working with relational databases to facilitate programming software** *Experience supporting financial systems or knowledge of accounting a plus.***Other Qualifications*** Programming skills* Basic testing skills* Personal computer and business solutions software skills* Analytical and problem-solving skills for the design, creation, and testing of programs* Communication skills to interact with team members and support personnel* Interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members* Ability to work in a team environment**Additional Requirements**This role supports an ITAR-compliant client account with specific security and work authorization requirements:* Must be ITAR-compliant and able to provide proof of citizenship.* Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring current or future sponsorship.* Applicants must reside in the continental United States.* A background check and drug test are required.Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $45,800 - $74,800.Full-time hires are eligible to participate in the DXC benefit program.
