We are seeking a highly skilled Senior OpenShift Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and optimization of cloud-native platforms using OpenShift, Tanzu Application Service (TAS), and Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF).
his role involves working with globally distributed teams to deliver robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure solutions.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in container orchestration, automation, cloud platforms, and DevOps practices.
Key Responsibilities
Design, optimize, and document engineering aspects of OpenShift and cloud platforms. Work with TAS and PCF to resolve complex coding, testing, and platform issues. Monitor systems to improve operational efficiency and mitigate risk. Collaborate with production support and platform engineering teams. Develop and enforce standards and best practices for cloud engineering. Lead architectural discussions and provide technical guidance on cloud initiatives. Implement infrastructure automation using tools like Ansible and Terraform. Drive CI/CD practices using Jenkins, GitLab, Tekton, and related tools. Integrate observability tools such as Splunk, Grafana, AppDynamics, New Relic, and OpenTelemetry. Manage hybrid cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and GCP. Ensure compliance with security policies and governance frameworks. Provide training and support on TAS, PCF, and OpenShift best practices. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve technical challenges. Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience with TAS and PCF. 5+ years of software engineering or equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience with OpenShift/Kubernetes and infrastructure automation. 5+ years of experience with Linux and container orchestration. 3+ years of experience with Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools. 3+ years of experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools. 3+ years of experience with monitoring and observability platforms. 3+ years of experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). 3+ years of experience leading cloud architecture and SME-level initiatives. Strong understanding of cloud methodologies (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS). Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cloud security management and governance tools. Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration (EX280) or equivalent. Knowledge of service mesh, load balancers, and DDI technologies. Strong understanding of networking, security, and storage in containerized environments. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Experience implementing risk and control requirements for cloud infrastructure. Certifications
Red Hat OpenShift Administration (EX280) or similar certifications.
