In this position...
As the Purchasing Manager, you will have a direct purchasing position for the FCSD purchasing organization.In this role, you will lead commercial negotiations, support critical supply issues, and manage material cost for the suppliers assigned to a team of buyers who will report directly to you.You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify areas for process and cost improvements, support supplier management strategies, and ensure compliance to our standards.
Responsibilities
What you'll do… Procurement: Directly supervise buyers Develop and maintain department cost plan Ensure department cost reduction targets are met Lead mitigation of supplier cost uplift requests Drive service supply improvements Ensure superior delivery performance from our supply base Support resolution of critical part shortages Ensure new part sourcing targets are met Develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies Lead supplier management and engagement Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with various departments, including marketing and sales organizations, supply chain, & finance to ensure process improvements align with company objectives and business needs Linkage with other functional areas to ensure leveraged spend and optimized supplier management Performance Monitoring: Analyze supplier performance and cost data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for further process and cost optimization. Qualifications
You'll have... 5+ years Purchasing experience Strong demonstrated leadership skills Established and successful track record of managing complex commodities and delivering optimized cost solutions Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite Even better, you may have...
