The Center for Veterinary Business and Entrepreneurship in Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine seeks a postdoctoral fellow to work with Assistant Professor Matthew MacLachlan on the economics of animal health and veterinary medicine. This fellow will contribute to topics including food systems, consumer behavior, and labor market dynamics. Responsibilities:

The successful candidate is expected to contribute to ongoing research through data acquisition and management, econometric analysis, writing, and dissemination of results. The candidate is expected to publish in leading scholarly journals in veterinary medicine, economics, management, or multidisciplinary journals. Presentations to academic audiences, as well as the Center’s stakeholders, are expected. Qualifications:

Applicants must have a PhD in agricultural or applied economics, economics, or a related field before the start date. Preference may be given to individuals with a strong background in time-series statistics or econometrics, the economics of consumer behavior, production economics, industrial organization, or marketing. Fluency in econometric software (e.g., R, Stata, MATLAB, or Python) is strongly preferred. This is a one-year full-time appointment with the potential for extension contingent upon successful performance. The salary range for this position is $61,008 to $72,000, depending on qualifications and experience. Application:
