Overview
SBM Management is searching for a
Strategic Sourcing Associate . The role is to establish and drive procurement of material and services in alignment with business leadership for the assigned commodity/category and/or region as per the Annual Operating Plan and Strategic Plan. Responsible for driving competitive commodity and category supply strategies to achieve the lowest Total Cost and reduce working capital through negotiation planning and execution in a high growth region. You will manage supplier performance to support your commodity/category and ensure supply continuity. You will manage several projects in a dynamic environment and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Responsibilities
Develop buying and performance strategies to ensure delivery of costs competitive with market and competition while maintaining sufficient flexibility to meet business requirements. Ensure SBM always has qualified vendors that can meet or exceed internal and external customer requirements at preferred pricing levels. Negotiate all third-party contracts for identified buying categories, including evaluating current market conditions, trends, and their effect on timing and costs for purchasing. Manage site category and commodity strategies including spend analysis, benchmarking, cost, market analysis, and global technology/economic trends. Ensure relationship development and management with key supplier leaderships. Manage supplier selection, RFQ and RFI processes, negotiation, contracting, and supplier performance processes. Apply effective sourcing supplier risk assessment methodologies to ensure supplier continuity. Position requires travel 20% of the time. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business management or a related field from a four-year college or university with 5–8 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Compensation:
$70,000 - $80,000 per year Shift:
