As a Sports Physical Therapist you will play a vital role in assessing, treating, and rehabilitating athletes of all levels. This role requires expertise in sports-related injuries, a commitment to personalized patient care, and a passion for helping individuals achieve their optimal physical performance.
Responsibilities
Assessment and Diagnosis Diagnose and evaluate the extent of sports-related injuries. Treatment Planning Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and specific athletic goals. Implement evidence-based rehabilitation techniques to address injuries and improve functional outcomes. Rehabilitation and Exercise Prescription Administer therapeutic exercises and interventions to improve strength, flexibility, and mobility. Instruct athletes in home exercise programs to support ongoing recovery. Manual Therapy Utilize manual therapy techniques, such as joint mobilization and soft tissue manipulation, to enhance healing and restore function. Implement modalities to manage pain and inflammation. Injury Prevention and Education Provide guidance on injury prevention strategies and techniques. Educate athletes on proper body mechanics, conditioning, and performance enhancement. Collaboration with Sports Medicine Team Collaborate with physicians, athletic trainers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care plans. Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to discuss patient progress and treatment plans. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and documentation requirements. Continuing Education Stay current with advancements in sports physical therapy through ongoing education and professional development. Participate in relevant conferences, workshops, and training programs. Qualifications
Doctorate or Master\'s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program. Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist. Board certification in Orthopedics or Sports Physical Therapy is a plus. 2+ of experience in sports physical therapy. Strong knowledge of sports-related injuries and rehabilitation protocols.
