Join us in providing exceptional healthcare services and making a difference in our communities.**RESPONSIBILITIES*** Independently and accurately perform routine and complex molecular testing, including DNA/RNA extraction and PCR* Review preliminary and final test results.* Assist in resolution of technical problems in accordance with laboratory policies and procedures.* Record, compile and maintain records according to laboratory policies to ensure state and federal regulations are upheld for all reagents, procedures, and equipment used in the testing process.* Assist in the development, evaluation, and implementation of new procedures and protocols.* Maintain patient confidentiality.* Coordinate daily communications of laboratory with physicians and other parties.* Participate in educational activities.* Perform other related work as required**CLIA QUALIFICATIONS (42 CFR 493.1489)*** Doctoral, master’s, or bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Lab Sciences, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, or Physics.* Associate’s degree in a chemical, physical, or biological science or medical lab technology.* Educational equivalent to Associate’s degree with at least:

+ 60 semester hours including 24 semester hours of medical lab technology;**OR*** 60 semester hours including 24 hours of science that includes 6 hours chemistry, 6 hours biology, and 12 hours chemistry, biology, medical technology in any combination;**AND*** 3 months training in each specialty in which high complexity testing is performed.**ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS*** 1-2 two years of experience in a molecular CLIA licensed clinical laboratory* Medical Technologist board certification preferred* Ability to read and comprehend English and follow instructions* Good communication and critical thinking skills* Understanding of statistics* Ability to creatively think under pressure and handle high stress levels, changing environments, and possible irregular work hours* Ability to recognize potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens and/or hazardous chemicals in the workplace and execute safety protocols in the event of exposure or spill* Must be able to demonstrate competency for all required diagnostic tests and other areas of assignment within 3 months of hire date**WORKING CONDITIONS*** Possible exposure to bloodborne pathogens* Possible exposure to hazardous chemicals**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*** Ability to climb stairs, lift 35lbs, sit or stand for long periods, and walk/bend down* Visual and auditory acuity and good eye/hand coordination**DIRECT REPORTING*** Reports to the Lab SupervisorPay starting at 25/hr #J-18808-Ljbffr
