Dewberry
is seeking a responsible, highly motivated, and detail-oriented individual to join our structures department in
Rancho Cordova or Long Beach, CA
as a
Structures Engineer (Bridge) . The successful candidate will be part of a team designing simple and complex bridges (primarily of concrete and steel construction) and a variety of transportation-related structures (retaining walls, culverts, sign structures, and other miscellaneous structures). The candidate will be involved in the development of Plans, Specifications, and Estimate (PS&E) packages, field inspections, and performing construction design support services. This position offers tremendous potential for professional growth in a great working environment and the opportunity to deliver important infrastructure projects for our clients as well as help them solve their most challenging problems. Required Skills & Required Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited 4-year engineering college 5+ years of experience in bridge and retaining wall projects Master’s degree is preferred California Professional Engineer (PE) License is preferred Experience designing transportation-related structures projects to Caltrans and local agency standards Familiarity with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications with Caltrans Amendments Preference for knowledge of CTBridge, CSiBridge, VBent, CTAbut, LPile, and/or similar analysis programs Proficiency using CADD (AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred) Strong leadership skills and desire to deliver the highest quality projects to our clients Proficient in MS Office (WORD and EXCEL) Strong verbal and written communication skills *At this time, Dewberry will not sponsor a new applicant for work authorization. *Dewberry is an Equal Opportunity/ Affirmative Action Employer. The projected range for this position is $90,000 - $140,000 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
