Automation Technician
We are seeking an experienced
Automation Technician
to support our manufacturing and production operations. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing automated systems, robotics, and control equipment to ensure reliable and efficient performance. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills across electrical, mechanical, and control systems with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities
Install, configure, and calibrate automation systems, sensors, actuators, and robotics
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo drives, and related equipment
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to reduce downtime
Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic diagrams, and technical manuals
Provide rapid response to production equipment issues to maintain continuous operations
Assist with system upgrades, modifications, and integration of new automation equipment
Document maintenance activities and system changes in CMMS
Collaborate with engineers and production teams to improve system reliability and performance
Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during all activities
Qualifications
Experience with industrial automation systems, PLCs, robotics, and control equipment
Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex systems (electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic)
Strong knowledge of schematics, ladder logic, and technical documentation
CMMS experience a plus
Safety-conscious with strong attention to detail
