Fire Protection Engineer
Location: 6341 Campus Circle Dr E Las Colinas (Irving), Texas 75063
About the Position: Do you enjoy designing fire protection systems? Are you passionate about preventing building fires? Join our team as a Fire Protection Engineer responsible for designing systems such as pumps, controls, and fire sprinklers for various building types. Your tasks will include creating design documents, conducting site visits, performing calculations, and consulting with clients on different options. You will also be involved in quality control of drawings, coordinating between disciplines, and ensuring deliverables meet deadlines. Proficiency in general utility systems and software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam is required. The role demands multitasking, independence, and preparation. Experience at an A/E firm is a plus but not mandatory. Contribute to impactful projects, shape communities, and be part of a team committed to excellence! Design of hazardous ventilation systems Design for electrically classified (hazardous) locations Spill control and secondary containment systems Protection for special hazards, e.g., foam/water suppression and gas/flame detection Compliance with FM Global Datasheets Suppression design basis for flammable and combustible liquids Evaluation of combustible dust hazards Design related to chemical processing and unit operations Design of fire suppression systems Experience with AutoCAD and Revit
