Fire Protection Engineer
Location: 6341 Campus Circle Dr E Las Colinas (Irving), Texas 75063
About Position: Do you enjoy designing fire protection systems? Do you have a passion for preventing building fires? As part of our team, this position is responsible for helping create designs for pumps, controls, and fire sprinkler systems for a variety of building types and structures. Responsibilities include designing and developing documents, conducting site visits, performing calculations, and consulting clients with different options. Fire Protection engineers will help quality control drawings, coordinate between disciplines, and complete deliverables on time. Candidates should be proficient in general utility systems and software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam. Skills include multi-tasking, being independently motivated, and well-prepared. Previous experience at an A/E Firm is a plus but not required. Hazardous ventilation requirements and design Electrically classified (hazardous) locations Spill control & secondary containment Protection for special hazards - e.g., foam/water suppression and gas/flame detection FM Global Datasheets Suppression design basis for flammable and combustible liquid storage Combustible dust hazard evaluation Chemical processing and associated unit operations Design of fire suppression systems AutoCAD and Revit experience
