The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining safe, cost-effective, and lean manufacturing processes to service our customers. Related job functions include writing specifications, working with vendors on capital improvement projects, designing tooling/fixturing, analyzing data, participating in Lean initiatives, designing/implementing cell layouts, and maintaining BOMs/Routes. An individual in this role must work well with operators, the toolroom, and other departments such as maintenance, planning, and quality. Key contributor for capital projects, including machine selection, cell layout, and financial justification. Collaborate with operations, quality, and product engineering to create and update control plans and engineering requirements for equipment installation and production startup. Compile project update reports and present to upper management regarding project timelines and budgets. Assist in production cell layout for new product launches. Support new product validation and production preparation. Design new processes, modify existing designs, improve production techniques, and develop test procedures. Develop and implement technical solutions to improve quality and overall equipment efficiency (OEE). Prioritize workforce safety by considering ergonomics and safety factors in process and workstation development. Stay informed on new technologies that could enhance operations and develop recommendations accordingly. Consult with management, production, and marketing teams to assess engineering feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and customer demand for products. Ensure manufacturing processes are safe, cost-effective, and deliver first-pass quality products on time. Support plant safety, environmental, and ergonomics initiatives. Participate in Kaizen events, sustainment activities, and lean improvement plans. Contribute to cost reduction initiatives through continuous improvement. Collaborate with automation team to identify, plan, execute, and control automation projects. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications for Success

1-2 years of experience as a Lean or Manufacturing Engineer Experience with SAP preferred CAD experience, with NX or Inventor preferred Design experience in assembly fixturing and machine guarding preferred Strong organizational skills Experience with MS Planner, Vizio, Power BI, and other 365 tools preferred Knowledge of programmable drives, PLC, and automation hardware/software is a plus Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects independently Lean/Six Sigma Certification preferred but not required Familiarity with Lean and Quality Tools such as DMAIC, Value Stream Mapping, 5S About Hubbell Incorporated Hubbell creates critical infrastructure solutions powering our customers, communities, people, and the planet.
