The Continuous Improvement / LEAN Manager is responsible for driving operational excellence by improving and validating the effectiveness of production and transformation processes. This role leads the design and implementation of systems that ensure process efficiency, documentation accuracy, and compliance with internal, customer, and IATF 16949 requirements. As the champion of the plant’s Continuous Improvement system, this position focuses on cost reduction, process optimization, waste elimination, and productivity enhancement. The role requires a strong background in Lean methodologies and proven success in leading CI initiatives that deliver measurable results. Responsibilities

Lead and implement plant-wide continuous improvement (CI) initiatives to enhance OEE, reduce costs, and simplify manufacturing processes. Train and mentor employees on Lean tools and techniques to shorten lead times, increase productivity, and reduce unit costs. Partner with the Quality team to monitor, evaluate, and resolve issues using structured problem-solving methods; verify effectiveness of corrective actions. Maintain plans, documentation, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and drive plant performance. Collaborate with Quality and Engineering teams to enforce APQP standards and support new product launches. Develop and sustain standard work practices throughout the facility. Build and expand Lean and problem-solving skill sets across the plant workforce. Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. Use CI methodologies to drive improvements in productivity, quality, safety, and cost. Lead and actively participate in cross-functional, plant, and CI project teams. Core Competencies

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Engineering preferred). Proven experience implementing Lean systems with deep knowledge of Lean tools and methodologies. Strong analytical and decision-making skills; proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving techniques. Hands-on experience with APQP, FMEA/Control Plans, MSA, 8D/CAPA, SPC, and Lean processes. ASQ certifications (CQE, CMQ/OE, or CQA) strongly preferred. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong written communication skills for policies, training materials, and reporting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Extensive knowledge of manufacturing and quality processes, including ISO/IATF standards and quality management systems.
