Overview
Quality Engineer – Automotive Domain in Auburn Hills, MI. We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team in Auburn Hills, MI.
Responsibilities
Lead and maintain the PPAP process and support quality improvement initiatives.
Work with cross-functional teams to implement quality tools: PFMEA, Control Plans, Gauge R&R, and 6-Sigma methods.
Analyze quality data (scrap, rework, capacity) and drive corrective actions.
Facilitate 8D problem-solving, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
Conduct internal and external audits, supporting IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and customer-specific standards.
Support APQP activities and new product launches.
Review inspection methods, tooling, and measurement systems.
Act as a key liaison with customers and represent the plant in quality meetings.
Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent degree.
3 to 5 years of professional experience in a medium to high volume manufacturing environment, with respect to automated assembly equipment, complex product assemblies, mechanisms, metal and plastic forming, injection molding technologies, tooling, fixtures and gauges.
Knowledge of automotive audits such as VDA6.3, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and customer-specific requirements.
US Citizen or Green Card Holder.
