dedicated solely to oncology care—designed to enhance the patient experience and foster interdisciplinary collaboration. Position Overview We are seeking an

Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in the Section of Surgical Oncology

to support our team. The ideal candidate will have experience or a strong interest in oncology and surgical specialties. Responsibilities Include: Patient population : Providing care for patients with malignant and complex conditions of the

gastrointestinal tract, skin, soft tissues

(including liver, pancreas, gallbladder, stomach), and

melanoma and sarcoma . Inpatient care : First-assistant in the OR (robotic, laparoscopic, open cases). Rounding on patients in the acute post-operative phase admitted for surgical oncology and colorectal surgery. Post-operative wound care and pain management. Timely collaboration with consulting physicians. Coordinating discharges from the hospital. Evaluation of new consults. Outpatient Care : Evaluates new and existing patients in collaboration with staff physicians and a multidisciplinary team, completes outpatient documentation promptly, and performs clinic procedures as applicable. Hours : Monday - Friday. Shared night and weekend call : Home call during the week, with weekend inpatient rounding and OR coverage for emergency cases. Why Northeast Florida?
