About the Job As an Engineering Manager, you will join and lead one of the teams in the Data unit of Contentsquare. This unit is called “data integration” and is responsible for the integration between Contentsquare and our clients’ tools. The team currently composed of 4 engineers is responsible for both back-end integrations (data exchanges, APIs, and synchronization with external systems) and front-end configuration/setup that allows users to easily enable and manage these integrations within the product.
The Integrations team operates at the intersection of front-end, back-end development, and data engineering ensuring seamless interoperability and data consistency across platforms. We are in the process of merging the applications of three different companies and one of the biggest challenges will be to maintain and improve legacy integrations such as Hotjar, Heap, and previous Contentsquare systems.
What you will do
Lead a team of 4 engineers (with ongoing recruitment, the team could grow to more): two data engineers and two software engineers.
Fostering a collaborative, high-performing, and pragmatic engineering culture (team rituals, career development, recruitment, etc.).
Use your technical background to support architectural decisions, review technical approaches, and help the team make thoughtful, scalable trade-offs.
Drive the successful and timely delivery of high-impact, large-scale fullstack projects.
What you will Need to succeed
Stay hands-on with design and development, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions. The main stacks are Translate product and business goals into clear technical roadmaps and execution plans.
Partner closely with product managers. Establish best practices for code quality, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
Drive innovation, experimentation, and continuous improvement in both technology and team dynamics.
Proficient technologies used in our technical stack such as Vue JS (front end), Nest JS (backend) but we have inherited some components from other companies we have acquired: React, Python and Node js. For the data part, we used Scala/ Golang. In terms of cloud, we used AWS.
A pragmatic and structured approach to engineering management, including mentoring, regular 1:1s, goal setting, and fostering a strong sense of ownership.
