Minimum pay rate (new grad rate) is $43.31.
Job Type: Per diem, Schedule: Acute care experience required; minimum of 2 weekend days per month (may be non-consecutive). Weekday hours available. Location: 789 Central Avenue.
Responsibilities
Assess, diagnose, treat and help prevent speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, swallowing, fluency and other related disorders.
Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
Implement treatment plans through a variety of techniques and modalities.
Monitor and document patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed.
Educate patients and their families about speech and language disorders, and provide strategies for improving communication.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.
Qualifications
Education: Master’s Degree in Speech Therapy required.
Licenses and Credentials: Speech-language Pathologist state license required; CCC-SLP and CCC-A preferred; Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred; other state license specifics as applicable.
Experience: 0-1 year of speech pathology experience preferred; acute hospital experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Familiarity with diagnostic assessments for speech-language pathology; strong interpersonal skills; ability to perform clinical services independently; knowledge of state and federal regulations; ability to apply new information to problems and decision-making.
Physical Requirements
Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling as specified; various weight limits with assistive devices.
Reaching, manipulation, vision and hearing requirements; constant talking and remote onsite presence.
