Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated
Electrical Wiring Lead - Pool Coordinator
who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The position is based in
Batesburg, SC .
Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of the electrical wiring team within the manufacturing plant.
Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to guide wiring tasks.
Ensure proper installation of wiring harnesses, control panels, and electrical components.
Conduct quality checks and troubleshoot wiring issues to ensure safety and quality standards.
Train and mentor team members on best practices, safety procedures, and technical skills.
Monitor inventory of electrical components and coordinate with procurement as needed.
Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve technical issues.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and team performance.
Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Be flexible to work 2nd shift as business needs dictate.
Required skills/experience
5+ years of experience in electrical wiring assembly with additional experience in quality inspection and/or testing in a manufacturing environment
1+ year of demonstrated informal leadership
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring standards, and safety regulations (e.g., NEC, OSHA)
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documents
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment
Working environment
Requires standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
Education High school diploma or GED required. Technical Certification or Associate's Degree in Electrical Technology preferred.
