Procurement/Purchasing Associate , you will: Respond to client inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations to ensure customer satisfaction. Carry out activities associated with purchasing goods, materials, supplies, and services to ensure terms are in the organization’s best interest. Prepare purchase orders, approve payments, and negotiate prices to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly, under general guidance. Compile price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to provide input on reasonable prices. Prepare requests for proposals (RFP) and bid packages to take on new accounts. Monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations. Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries to ensure resolution of problems such as shortages and missed or late deliveries. Established and productive professional contributor. Problems faced are difficult and may be complex. Work autonomously with limited supervision. Carry out Procurement processes, standards, and operational plans, including RFPs, negotiation preparations, and cost analysis. Influence others within the work area through explanation of facts, policies, and practices. Must have motivation, common sense, and a good work ethic. Tasks/responsibilities will come from the program buyer. Education: Bachelor's Required and at least 7+ years of relevant experience working within Supply Chain. Open for candidates with 10+ years of experience and no bachelor's degree. Experience : Needs Purchasing and Procurement experience. ERP or MRP experience is preferred, but not necessarily required. SAP would be great– it would get them started quicker. The majority of parts are machined/sheet metal parts, some vacuum-formed parts, lots of hardware, and electrical. All other commodities vary in the extent by the program. Pivot tables, search functions, XLookUps, sorting, filtering. PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS: Pay Range: $50.00 TO $55.00 per hour.
