Aspirus Health in Wausau, WI is seeking a MANAGER - SYSTEM PURCHASING & CAPITAL EQUIPMENT to join our SUPPLY CHAIN team! Working closely with the System Director Procure to Pay, the System Manager, Purchasing and Capital Equipment, this role is responsible for developing, directing, and leading operational financial, programmatic, and personnel activities for all system-wide Supply Chain Management Purchasing, Group Purchase Orders, Construction, and Capital Projects, utilizing financial and clinical evidence-based data to drive decisions in support of quality and value-based care. This position deploys strategies to ensure that all required construction project equipment and supply requirements related to the procurement of major moveable equipment, supplies and services agreements; capital equipment; and all other system requirements for the acquisition of goods and services are purchased at the lowest Total Cost of Ownership, achieving financial savings, contract optimization, quality, and operational efficiency, while augmenting system and process standardization to enhance the customer and patient experience. This role assists with the formation, implementation, and maintenance of department and Supply Chain Management policies and procedures. It develops standard workflows and procedures to meet objectives, and maintains accountability for establishing, meeting, and monitoring departmental goals and business objectives, aligning to Supply Chain Management strategic goals and initiatives, Corporate Balanced Score Card objectives, and the mission, vision, values, and philosophies of Aspirus, Inc. This position works with Strategic Sourcing to apply Supplier Relationship Management Best Practices, driving supplier performance and contract compliance, managing risk, achieving system standardization, and rendering cost improvements commensurate to economies of scale and maximizing the value of the supply base. It functions across Aspirus, Inc. and must establish and maintain effective working relationships with leadership, peers, staff, and supplier business partners. The individual must be highly motivated and proactive, and possess excellent procurement, project management, and communication skills. Hours

Full-Time or 1.0 FTE, 80 hours every 2 weeks. Experience/Qualifications

Knowledge of hospital management and policy administration, supply chain best practices, critical thinking skills, as well as the development and implementation of budgets, financial strategies and standards normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science Degree. Experience may be substituted for education in the absence of a formal degree. Minimum of 5 to 7 years of supply chain experience. Healthcare supply chain experience is highly desirable. Previous experience with healthcare construction, facilities engineering, biomedical engineering, and healthcare project management is a plus. Certification in Supply Chain Management from a professional organization such as the Certified Materials and Resource Professional (CMRP) or from a similar organization is highly preferred. A certification in lean or six sigma from a recognized provider is also preferred. Proficiency in database management and Microsoft Office preferred. Effective verbal and non-verbal communication and professional collaboration with others. Ability to read and comprehend complex written materials such as laws, government regulations, and other agency requirements. Strong working knowledge of PC-based business applications such as spreadsheets, email and Microsoft Outlook. Self-motivated, accountable, detail-oriented, able to prioritize and meet deadlines, maintain confidentiality, and examine documents for accuracy and completeness. Employee Benefits
