The Assistant Director performs a variety of duties in the identification and recruitment of prospective University students. The Assistant Director helps manage and uphold the integrity of the department.

Recruit and process applications from inquiry to enrollment.

Maintain regular communication with inquiries and applicants, track weekly progress on all applications, and keep files up-to-date using UVF’s student information systems (Jenzabar & CRM Program).

Respond to daily “to do lists,” including emails, texts, and phone calls.

Meet with prospective students and parents visiting the University.

Assist the Director of Admissions in managing and coaching Admissions counselors.

Assist in managing and tracking team travel.

Collaborate with Admissions and Online Operations teams to optimize CRM use for efficiency and automation.

Work with UVF Marketing to promote programs and events.

Oversee all on-campus events involving the Admissions Office, such as Breakaway, Open House, Admitted Student Day, and Personalized Visits.

Manage Admissions student workers.

Travel as needed to college fairs, youth conventions, and visits to organizations and high schools (valid driver’s license required).

Public speaking at churches, organizations, and large events.

Possess working knowledge of Jenzabar One student information system and Element451 CRM (preferred).

Oversee and supervise mailings and marketing campaigns in CRM.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

Assist the Director with weekly team management and attend Admissions meetings.

Represent the department in various meetings and off-campus recruiting events.

Collaborate with departments on behalf of students.

Attend staff training and assist in training new employees.

Serve as University DSO to support international students as needed.

Work Environment Typical office conditions; mostly sitting, with some standing, walking, and lifting of small objects. Travel expected.

Qualifications and Abilities

Motivated self-starter and problem-solver.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking.

Ability to implement new programs.

Understanding of multiple degree and non-degree programs.

Comfortable interacting with diverse populations.

Deep understanding of UVF’s mission and culture.

Effective with parents, teenagers, and older adults.

Confidentiality sensitivity.

Skills and Knowledge

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Knowledge of Jenzabar One and Element451 CRM (preferred).

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.

Previous experience in Admissions is advantageous.
