RINA is currently recruiting for a

Junior Process Engineer - Hydra Project (Green Electric Arc Furnace)

to join its office in Rome within the

Mechanical and Materials Engineering

Division.

Mission RINA is currently seeking for a motivated and dedicated Junior Process Engineer to support the start-up and operational development of a new green steelmaking by hydrogen-based pilot Electric Arc Furnace (EAF).

The candidate will work alongside the process engineering team to develop operational procedures with usage of alternative fossil materials and DRI. Active contribution for manufacturing process optimization with a focus on OPEX reduction, energy efficiency, and sustainability KPIs.

Key Accountabilities

Assist during commissioning and ramp-up phases.

Support process engineering activities for the Electric Arc Furnace area.

Collaborate in the definition and optimization of operating procedures.

Monitor process parameters and support energy and cost efficiency initiatives.

Work cross-functionally with Operations, Maintenance, HSE, and R&D #LI-IG1

Education Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering

Qualifications

Up to 2 years of experience in industrial plants, preferably steelmaking or similar sectors.

Interest in green technologies, hydrogen applications, and decarbonization processes.
