Job Summary The Senior Automation Engineer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting control systems and MES integration solutions in an industrial environment. This includes design, programming, and configuration of DCS systems, PLCs, SCADA, and related software, aligned with MES integration requirements. The role involves providing technical support, developing documentation, and participating in project management and coordination. The engineer will develop and implement automation strategies for industrial process control systems, requiring strong knowledge of industrial control systems and effective communication with stakeholders.
Roles & Responsibilities
Program various control systems applications and HMIs according to MES requirements.
Exhibit excellent interpersonal, communication, documentation, presentation, and computer skills. Collaborate within a team and communicate technical information effectively.
Execute IQ and OQ for control system development and enhancements.
Develop system validation documentation and ensure compliance.
Create and manage application-specific knowledge bases.
Design, program, and configure DeltaV systems, PLCs, SCADA, and related software.
Understand MES-control system integration requirements and participate in workshops.
Provide technical support to customers, engineers, and stakeholders.
Develop technical documents including design specifications, manuals, and procedures.
Develop and implement automation strategies for process control systems.
Troubleshoot, maintain, and upgrade existing control systems for MES integration.
Participate in project management and coordination.
Monitor and analyze system performance.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Adopt best practices, standards, and procedures related to automation systems.
Maintain knowledge of evolving automation technologies.
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Chemical, Electrical, Computer Science, Bio-Process Engineering, or related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years relevant automation and life sciences manufacturing experience.
