Overview

The Automation Engineer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting control systems in an industrial environment. This position involves design, programming and configuration of DCS systems, PLCs, SCADA, and related software. The role provides technical support to customers, develops technical documents, and participates in project management and project coordination. The position requires developing and implementing automation strategies for industrial process control systems, has working knowledge of industrial control systems, and requires experience in Life Sciences Manufacturing. The candidate must be open to night shifts and 12-hour shifts. Responsibilities

Design, program, and configure DeltaV systems, PLCs, SCADA and related software. Provide technical support to customers, engineers, and other stakeholders. Develop technical documents, including design specifications, user manuals, and operational procedures. Develop and implement automation strategies for industrial process control systems. Troubleshoot, maintain, and upgrade existing control systems. Participate in project management and project coordination. Monitor and analyze system performance. Ensure regulatory compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards. Utilize best practices, standards, and procedures related to automation systems. Maintain and update knowledge of evolving automation technologies. Shift and Incidents

Work on Incident management, Service request management, Problem management and Change management areas. Must possess excellent interpersonal, communication, documentation, presentation and computer skills. Work in a team-based environment and exchange technical information with management, technical support personnel, and equipment vendors. Execute IQ, OQ for Control Systems Development and Enhancements. Develop system validation documentation and ensure system validation compliance. Manage and update system documentation including SOPs. Create and manage application-specific knowledge management. Programming of various Control Systems applications and HMIs. Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Chemical, Electrical, Computer Science or Bio-Process Engineering, or related field. Experience: Minimum of 2 years relevant automation life science manufacturing experience.
