Test Engineer (Train Validation)

we’re looking for?
Your future role Take on a new challenge and apply your testing and engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and detail-oriented teammates.
You’ll play a critical role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and compliance of our train systems by preparing, supervising, and analyzing test activities. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (engineering, quality, and safety departments), develop and verify testing tools and equipment, and ensure adherence to EHS rules, including implementing LockOut-TagOut instructions, and much more.
We’ll look to you for
Implementing, verifying (functional), and ensuring compliance (calibration) of the measuring equipment to be ready at the time of the test
Preparing the equipment for testing
Validating that the applied configuration and prerequisite testing allows the testing to proceed
Respecting EHS rules, notably implementing LockOut-TagOut instruction
Supervising and/or executing test activities
Analyzing test results “live” and deciding if the test must be redone or not
Conducting test results data analysis
Writing static and dynamic test reports
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless test execution
Continuously improving testing processes to align with industry standards and best practices

Degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field
Experience or understanding of testing processes, equipment calibration, and functional verification
Knowledge of data analysis methods and tools for interpreting test results
Strong written and verbal communication skills for preparing test reports and collaborating with teams
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make quick decisions during live testing
Attention to detail for ensuring test readiness and accuracy of configurations
Hands-on experience with testing tools or equipment development
Adaptability to work in dynamic environments and manage unexpected challenges
Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on industry standard and practices
Familiarity with safety protocols such as LockOut-TagOut (LOTO) and EHS compliance
Readinees for long business travel
