Quality Laboratory Technician (level 5) (Finance) We are seeking a Quality Lead - Level 5 with a background in quality inspection processes to join Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America (PECNA). As a Quality Lead, you will report to the Quality Supervisor and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper day-to-day execution of quality objectives, enhance product quality, and contribute to the success of the world's largest lithium-ion battery initiative. The Quality Lead - Level 5 will work with Operations, Engineering and Maintenance to resolve bugs, defects, and other potential issues and ensure that products meet customer specifications. This role is on-site at our new factory in DeSoto, Kansas. What you’ll do

The role focuses on leading quality activities to support manufacturing and product quality improvements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES : Perform high-level data interpretation and analytics tied to Key Performance Indicators Lead effective and timely containment actions and treatment of nonconforming materials, utilizing Python scripts, Foundry or other data visualization tools Establish basic process alarms utilizing Python scripts and Foundry Lead quality improvement projects aimed at enhancing product quality, process improvements or reducing defects Provide direction and support as required for QA Inspectors and Operators in quality improvement projects Lead hands-on training of inspectors to improve overall proficiency Operate independently sometimes without written SOPs, analyze data, and make decisions Lead QA Inspectors and Technicians for proper implementation of quality control processes and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications Independently execute product and process audits as required Communicate with different levels of the organization to resolve quality issues Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and maintenance, to identify and resolve quality issues in a timely manner Report quality issues, concerns, or deviations from standards to Supervisors and Engineers in a timely manner Maintain detailed inspection, quality issues and deviation records as required Function as the owner of area Key Performance Indicators Lead the Quality Tech team in Quality Supervisor's absence Ensure adherence to quality, general plant and PECNA policies and procedures Ensure area cleanliness and 6S standards are met PPE Requirements

To ensure health and safety, wearing PPE is required as appropriate and may include items such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, bump cap, and a full hazmat suit with respirator. Must-Haves

Minimum of 6 years of related work experience (manufacturing or similar industries) Working knowledge in programming scripts, data visualization tools and Foundry AI platforms with the ability to modify scripts as required Working knowledge in Statistical Process Control Working knowledge in CAPA and Root Cause Analysis Nice-to-Haves

3-5 years of relevant experience within QA functions with strong understanding in corrective actions and containment actions or equivalent previous work experience Physical Demands
