The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Clinical Specialist is responsible for managing the clinical issues of quality, safety, reliability, improvement, and excellence in their clinical discipline and/or programs spread across multiple departments. The clinical specialist may provide and/or direct the delivery of customer-owner care in the departments and programs supervised. The Clinical Specialist is responsible for the day to day performance, and management for those employees supervised.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited school as appropriate to discipline.
Current professional license in the State of Alaska as appropriate to discipline.
One of the following degrees is required: BS, RN, ANP or CNM, PharmD, BSDH.
Current certifications as appropriate for discipline.
Meets all requirements in order to obtain associate medical staff membership and required privileges of service. (CNM only)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. ACLS, NRP, ATLS, ALSO and PALS as required for specialty and any certification relating to the scope of practice as required.
Demonstrated proficiency in current role in SCF or three (3) years of experience
Native Preference:
Under P.L. 93-638, as amended, the company pursues a policy of Native preference in hiring, contracting and training. SCF Human Resources must receive certification before applicants receive preference.

Compliance with our Employee Health Procedure is a condition of SCF employment. You are required to agree that you will comply with all job-related employee health screening and immunizations prior to your first day of employment. Jobs designated as a Health Care Personnel (HCP) position require you to have documentation that you have completed the following immunizations prior to your first day of employment: MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Influenza, T-dap, and COVID-19 vaccination is required.
