Wilcox & Barton Inc., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, United States
Description of Job Opening
We are a leading environmental consulting and engineering group specializing in site investigations, environmental assessments, and remediation services for a variety of sites and contaminants, including PFAS. As many others are consolidating, we are maintaining our niche as a dynamic and responsive firm that encourages individual advancement. We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Geologist, Scientist, or Engineer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with 0-3 years of professional experience who are eager to grow in the environmental field. We were founded 25 years ago on a work-from-home model and provide our professionals with a home office and dedicated field equipment. Position Overview: As a Staff Geologist/Scientist/Engineer, you will play a key role in performing site inspections, overseeing subsurface investigations, collecting environmental samples, conducting site surveys, staffing emergency response projects, and supporting site remediation efforts. You will work closely with senior staff on a variety of projects, preparing technical documentation such as data tables, graphs, and site reports. We encourage our staff to review and evaluate the data they collect, and to think critically about site conditions and contaminants. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. 0-3 years of relevant experience (recent graduates are encouraged to apply). Ability to drive to field sites across Massachusetts. Based in or near Massachusetts, or willing to relocate. Strong communication and organizational skills, including technical writing. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Familiarity with AutoCAD, GIS, BlueBeam, and/or environmental data software is a plus. OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification is a plus. If not already completed, training will be required upon hire. Additional Information: Competitive salary and benefits package. Opportunity for growth and professional development. Supportive work environment with individual hands-on and group training. Focus on wellness and work-life balance. If you're passionate about environmental science, looking for a great entry-level opportunity to expand your skill set, and ready to contribute to meaningful projects, we encourage you to apply!
