Project Overview

Craig Technologies is the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) partner on the Bechtel and Northrop Grumman team to deliver the Sentinel Program, which is modernizing the ground-based leg of the U.S. nuclear deterrent triad, including intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) systems and launch infrastructure. Craig Technologies’s scope of service in Sentinel’s current Engineering & Manufacturing Development phase focuses on the ground infrastructure component of the program. Job Summary

Perform pipe stress analysis using AutoPipe. Coordinate with Pipe Support Engineers and Layout personnel as required. Major Responsibilities

Perform pipe stress analysis of systems in accordance with ASME B31.3 Code. Model the piping systems to verify piping flexibility, stability, and qualification of equipment nozzle loads. Work closely with layout personnel and pipe support engineers to deliver a quality and cost-effective design. Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and vendors as required. Apply dynamic analysis and ASME B31.3 or B31.1 Codes. Evaluate, select, and apply standard plant design and piping engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria using independent judgment in making adaptations and modifications. Participate in reviews and recommend approval of design drawings and data for compliance with requirements. Analyze problems with conflicting design requirements, sketch ideas and possible solutions. Analyze and report on the suitability of unconventional materials, techniques, and difficult coordination requirements. Coordinate plant design engineering efforts in assigned areas with specialty groups, engineering disciplines, the client, vendor, contractors, construction, and other functional groups. Education and Experience Requirements

Level I

Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience. Level II

Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience. Required Knowledge and Skills

EIT certification or PE registration preferred. Previous Craig Technologies and/or DOD/DOE project experience preferred. Must be a U.S. citizen. Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check which includes verification of employment, education, and travel. Working knowledge of dynamic analysis and ASME B31.3 or B31.1 Codes. Prior experience using pipe stress analysis program Bentley AutoPipe. Salary

The salary range for this role is $110,000 – $155,000; however, Craig Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer for employment, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training and preferred skills and knowledge.
